Pope Francis Makes Maiden Visit to Kenya

Pope Francis, 78 and of Argentina origin is on a mission to Africa. He is expected to visit countries including Kenya, Uganda and Central African republic respectively.

It has been 4 months since USA President Barrack Hussein Obama,s recent visit to Kenya. It is also approximately 7 months since the beatification of an Italian nun Irene Stefani in Kenya that took place on May 23, 2015 in Nyeri Kenya.

The pope who is travelling in an Italian commercial plane that took off in Leonardo Da Vinci International Airport in Italy which of cource is a symbol of humility is expected to land at 5.00 pm at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) in Nairobi. He will be expected to proceed to State House for a warm reception before undertaking the 3 day mission.

Popes Mission in Kenya

In his mission, he is expected to hold masses at the University of Nairobi (U.O.N) and later to Kangemi slums. By doing this, he will be able to meet with people from all walks of life, preach, speak, bless and even pray with them. He will also visit the UNEP headquarters in Gigiri - Kenya, now that environmental matters are close to his heart and is expected to give a speach on global warming and Global climate changes.

He will also be speaking to the youth at Kasarani Stadium.

Many Kenyans from all walks of life are anticipating for his coming. Many Christians are expected to attend the masses and because of this, tight security has been laid out so as to ensure safety of every people.

Many await him so as to take part in his mission. Of cource others await his visit so as to have a view of the humble leader who is commonly reffered to as "The Peoples Pope" and remembered for his ironical speech "Pray for me".
