US ceding power to control Internet

The world is going to see a new world order when the impossible is expected to happen this year, an important succession and transfer of roles over internet is due to happen this year

The US cedes power to control internet by transferring internet naming system from IANA to ICANN

United States of America has held the role and responsibility to plan on the internet Naming System since the development of Internet.

ICANN - The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers - a non-profit organization

IANA - The Internet Assigned Numbers Authority

The DNS (Domain Naming System) is the way internet identifies a unique public IP address by pointing to a unique server address so that information can be retrieved to submitted to the server such as Emails, Website (e.g Broadnotes.com), database information etc.

The United States IANA has dominated in this field and a transition began to take place as early as 2014. IANA says its finally satisfied in taking over of the role by ICANN which is due to finally see the transition in October 2017.

The US will continue to house ICANN in LA (Los Angeles) located in California that house majority of Internet giants such as Google Inc., Twitter, Facebook, Apple,
