Allan Wanga, the AFC Leopards inspirational striker spear headed Harambee Stars to a 2-0 win over Sudan to be crowned Cecafa champions after an Eleven year wait.

Sudan had Eliminated Chipolopolo of Zambia, the former CAF "Africa" Champions and had been viewed as the tournament favorites.

Kenya displayed high quality soccer and eliminated Tanzania in the semi finals before clinching the trophy today through two goals from Allan Wanga, happening the same day Kenya Kenya was celebrating her 50 years Independence Jubilee
