Tanzanias Azam FC are the Cecafa Club Champions.

Tanzanian side Azam FC is the current Cecafa Kagame Club Championship after edging out Gor Mahia of Kenya 2 - 0 in Dar es Salaam Tanzania.

Alan Wanga of Kenya plays for Azam FC and recently transferred from last year ( 2014 ) Cecafa football club champions Al Merreikh Omdurman of Sudan to join Azam FC who have been crowned champions.

It is the first time for Azam FC to be crowned Cecafa champions, a club formed in the year 2007.

For Alan Wanga , it was a clash with a very familiar side from Kenya having played for bitter Gor Mahia club rivals AFC Leopards club back in Kenya.

Azam FC team is managed by Englishman Stewart Hall and scored twice from either side through John Bocco and Tchetche from Ivory Coast.

Gor Mahia oftenly known as Kogallo have not lost any game in their previous encounter including the Kenya Premier league championship in Kenya and this happens to be the first game to loose this season.
