John Pombe Magufuli is declared presidential election winner in Tanzania

John Pombe Magufuli is the new president elect of Tanzania

Magufuli is the new president elect of Tanzania following the highly contested elections in Tanzania.

There has been growing international pressure from United States and Britain for Zanzibar to immediately release her election results from the Island stating that they do not see credible reasons to cancell the elections.

There has been calm from Tanzanians having to wait for 4 days to get election results. The oposition has cried foul following claims of arrest of her returning officers but the opposition leader has been calling for calm.

Ukawa party leader Edward Lowassa is yet to give his official position about the election results and possibly concede defeat, now that Magufuli has already been declared president elect of Tanzania who will be presented with certificates tommorrow.
