The human race has been in existence for a long time. There are various scientific theories and religious theories that try to explain the origin of man.
The worldwide known theory is that of creation which is the religious theory. Man is believed to have been created by a supreme God who is supernatural, omnipotent, omnipresent and omniscient according to various religions. Christians believe in the creation theory where Adam was created as the first Man and eve created out of Adams ribbs to become the first woman. Their descendants were supposed to fill the world according to the scriptures of the bible. It is through this theory that many generations have come up.
There is also another theory by Charles Darwin called the Theory of Evolution and is widely advocated by scholars. It though does not explain the origin of creation but tries to venture into evolving trends observed in Ecosystems after a study done in Galapagos Islands, the theory of evolution states that Human beings evolved from other species to become the present man. The theory is widely explained in his book “The origin of species” by natural selection.
Lastly is the Mythical theory mostly by African countries which derive the existence of man through mysterious occurrences in life. An example is the Agikuyu community in Kenya who subscribed to the theory of Gikuyu and Mumbi.
With all these theories explained above, attempting to establish the origin of mankind, it is the responsibility of Human beings to be proud and guard our special race as we are the only intelligent beings on earth.
